Lyndsey J. Wilcox has been remanded to the NYS Department of Corrections after violating the terms of her probation set forth after her sentencing in Genesee County Court in January 2025.
Wilcox pleaded guilty to Assault 2nd degree, a class D violent felony, in a November 18th, 2024 plea deal and was released under the supervision of Genesee Justice on time served. On January 21, 2025, Judge Lightcap Cianfrini sentenced Wilcox to 6 months of incarceration, which she had already completed, serving 252 days in jail before accepting the plea deal in November. Wilcox was also sentenced to 5 years of Probation and paid a $2,500 fine. Several orders of protection were also issued.

After learning of the probation violation, the judge revoked her probation and resentenced Wilcox on the original charge of Assault 2nd degree, a class D violent felony.
On Friday, August 29, 2025, Wilcox was sentenced to a 6-year determinate sentence on a felony violation of probation charge after being out after curfew, leaving the country without permission, consuming alcohol and being a passenger in a vehicle that ran from police, where she was charged with two counts of criminal contempt. The criminal contempt charges are still pending in the Town of Batavia Court.
Wilcox also was sentenced to 3 years of post-release supervision/parole. The maximum sentence Wilcox could have faced was 7 years in state prison, plus 3 years post-release supervision/parole.
