BATAVIA – Tickets are now on sale for the 2026 Batavia Rotary Club’s annual Corvette Raffle, club officials have announced.
The raffle is the largest fundraising event of the year for the local Rotary Club. Proceeds from the raffle fund Rotary grants and gifts to non-profit community organizations in Batavia and Genesee County throughout the coming year.
The winner of this year’s raffle will have their choice of a 2026 base model Corvette or $60,000 in cash.
The grand prize drawing will be held on January 16, 2026 and will be video streamed on Facebook Live. The winner need not be present to win.
Batavia Rotarian Laurie Mastin, co-chair of the raffle, said only 4,500 tickets will be sold. “The odds are better than the state lottery,” Mastin said. A total of 10 $500 winners will be chosen, three of which will be “early bird” prizes with the remaining seven $500 winners chosen the night of grand prize drawing.
Mastin explained that one early bird winner will be drawn on October 21, 2025 from all tickets purchased by September 30, 2025. A second early bird winner will be drawn on November 18, 2025 from all tickets purchases by October 31, 2025. The final early bird ticket will be drawn on December 16, 2025 from all tickets purchased by November 30, 2025.
Mastin said that once the early bird tickets are drawn, those tickets will be placed back in the drawing to remain eligible for the grand prize.
Mastin said the Rotary Corvette Raffle is in compliance with all state and local ordinances.
Single tickets for the raffle are $50, $125 for three tickets and $150 for four tickets. Tickets can be purchased from any Batavia Rotary Rotarian or by visiting: www.BataviaRotaryRaffle.com. Tickets are also available at Sloat Tire Shop, Clinton St. Rd., Batavia or Lawley Insurance, Jefferson Ave., Batavia.
“This is the club’s major fundraiser of the year that enable us to make so many contributions to the community, such as $18,000 in college scholarships to area students each year,” said Batavia Rotary Club President Lynn VanDerBeck.
Proceeds from previous raffles have allowed the local Rotary Club to contribute $250,000 toward the recently opened YMCA / Healthy Living Campus, $150,000 was given to UMMC for the renovation of the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit. Previous recipients of proceeds from the raffle include Genesee Community College and Arc Glow.
Lisa Ormsbee, who co-chairs the raffle with Mastin, encourages ticket buyers to purchase as soon as possible when there will be fewer tickets in the pool for the early-bird drawings.
