The Town of Alexander Republican Committee wishes to announce their three (3) endorsed candidates for the upcoming General Election that takes place on Tuesday, November 4th, 2025.
For the office of Town Clerk:
Shannon Bartholomew is the present Town Clerk and has been endorsed by the Republican Committee and was appointed by the Alexander Town Board in February, 2025. Shannon has been busy since the start of her new position with implementing new cash management procedures, working the water district projects, new website and Facebook design and has gotten involved by becoming the Secretary for the Genesee County Clerk’s Association.
For the office of Town Board two (2) 4-year term seats:
Laura Schmieder, Incumbent, is a lifelong resident of Alexander and was elected to the Town Board in the 2020 General Election. Laura previously was Town Clerk for 12 years, which makes her knowledge of the workings of the Town of Alexander superior. She truly enjoys serving on the Town Board and is hoping for another 4 year term to serve the residents of Alexander.
Eric Wagner, Incumbent, is also a lifelong resident of Alexander and was elected to the Town Board in 2014. Eric genuinely cares about the residents of the Town of Alexander and his goal is to continue to work hard to ensure that Alexander remains a great place to live, work and raise a family. He strives to balance financial responsibility with maintaining and improving the services that make Alexander a strong, close-knit Community.
The members of the Alexander Republican Committee also endorse Republican Candidates Kevin Finnell for Genesee County District Attorney and Sandra Owen for Genesee County Coroner.
The Alexander Republican Committee reminds everyone to exercise their right to VOTE!! Early voting starts on Saturday, October 25th, at the Genesee ARC Community Center, 38 Woodrow Rd., Batavia.
To vote in Alexander on Election Day, our polling place is at the Alexander Firemen’s Recreation Hall, 10708 Alexander Rd., Alexander from 6:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.
