Batavia Downs helped raise over $22,000 for the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester (BCCR) at a “Night at the Races” event that was held on Friday, October 10th in the Clubhouse at Batavia Downs that featured a silent auction.
Batavia Downs President & CEO, Byron Brown, presented the check for $22,836 to several members of the BCCR at a noon press gathering in the main lobby on Tuesday.

“As a public benefit corporation, I’m honored that we here at Batavia Downs focus on giving back to the community. Whether it’s through important events like the Night at the Races or our regular distribution
payments to our 17 member municipalities, our goal is to help organizations like the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester. I also want to thank our many sponsors who made this night a huge success”.

This year marked the 10th anniversary of the BCCR event held at Batavia Downs and it was part of October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month. During the month Batavia Downs also lit the building pink and
the infield water feature to recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
