Game of Throws Axe Throwing and Escape Rooms opened its doors in City Centre on October 24th and is open to the public. Leagues are also available. Owners Eric and Sarah Jones are very excited about their new location which will also offer escape rooms in the near future.
In May, Game of Throws found a new home at 17 City Centre after being at the Harvester Center since 2021.
Chamber of Commerce President Brian Cousins hits a bullseye on his very first throw.
“We’ve been open two weeks. We had a few companies come in for team building. So far, weekends have been pretty busy. So yeah, I think the words getting out there, we’re back up and running, we’re excited to get back at it,” says Eric Jones, Co-owner.
Jones says the escape rooms will be up and running soon.
“I’m hoping by January to have our first escape room up and running. We do have a pirate chest escape adventure. We’re calling it five pirate chests. We had a group in here as a walk through, nine people, and it took them an hour. These five chests have enough puzzles in it to keep everybody occupied.”
Jones welcomes everyone to come in and try it out before they sign up, they are welcome.
‘A lot of people think it’s intimidating. They don’t think it’s for them. It’s dangerous. We work with everybody. We’ve had a high success rate. We work with everybody to get it and make sure they’re getting it to stick; make sure they’re doing everything safely. Usually takes 5 to10 minutes per group. Show them the games and work with them.”
