Press release
BATAVIA – Thursday, November 30 is the deadline to purchase tickets for the final Early Bird drawing in the 2026 Batavia Rotary Club Corvette Raffle.
These Early Bird drawings of $500 are meant to encourage early ticket purchases for the final grand prize of a 2026 Corvette or $60,000 in cash. The final Early Bird drawing will be held on December 16th.
All tickets purchased by November 30 will be entered into this last early bird drawing. Early bird winners’ tickets will be placed back into the drawing for the grand prize.
“This is the major fundraiser that allows our club to make so many contributions to the community, such as $18,000 in college scholarships to area students each year,” said President Lynn VanDerBeck.
Rotary also contributed $250,000 toward the Healthy Living Campus that opened this year on Main Street, a joint project for the YMCA and United Memorial Medical Center and a $150,000 matching pledge for the renovation of the local hospital’s Intensive Care Unit, VanDerBeck said.
“Fundraisers like this Corvette event are critical for helping us help others,” said Lisa Ormsbee, who co-chairs the event with Laurie Mastin.
In addition to the grand prize, there are additional prizes of $500 each, Mastin explained. All tickets purchased by November 30 are entered into the final early bird drawing on December 16. Seven $500 winners will be selected the night of the grand prize drawing on Jan. 16, 2026, and will be live on Facebook.
“Tickets make great holiday gifts,” she explained. “We encourage folks to buy their tickets now to be eligible for the early bird drawing, since fewer tickets have been sold and the chance of winning is higher.”
Persons interested in purchasing tickets may go to www.bataviarotaryraffle.com or contact any Rotarian. Only 4,500 tickets are sold.
