On June 6, 2025, the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a sex offense that occurred in the
Town of Alabama during the summer of 2014.
Following an investigation, Leonard Hahn IV, 26, was arrested on January 29, 2026,
Hahn was charged with rape in the first degree, a violation of New York State Penal Law section 130.35(1) N.Y. Penal Law Section 130.35 – Rape in the first degree (2026) and was arraigned in Genesee County Court.
Hahn, who is in the custody of the New York State Department of Corrections and Community
Supervision was returned to their custody following the arraignment.

He is serving a maximum of 11 years and 6 months at Fishkill and was eligible for parole in March 2026. He was convicted on two counts of rape first degree and att promoting prison contraband first degree, a class E felony. Hahn has been incarcerated since May 2017.
Bail was placed at $100,000 cash, $200,000 insurance bond and $300,000 partially secured bond on the new charges.
Hahn is scheduled to appear again at the Genesee County Court on February 18, 2026, at 2:00PM.
