On 2/3/2026, George J. Budzinack, 46, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Falsifying Business Records 1st degree and Sex Offender Failure to Register Address. Budzinack, who is a sex offender and required to register his current address, allegedly registered a false address. He was arraigned in Batavia City Court and remanded to the Genesee County Jail without bail.
On 2/14/2026, Gage R. Wetmore, 19, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Attempted Burglary 3rd degree, Attempted Criminal Mischief 4th degree and Possession of Burglary Tools. Wetmore was charged after allegedly attempting to break into a building on Alva Place on 2/2/2026. He was arraigned in CAP Court and is due in Batavia City Court at a later date.
On 2/9/2026, Hailey E. Nickerson, 23, of Arkport, NY, was arrested and charged with Burglary 2nd degree, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and Harassment 2nd degree. Nickerson was charged following a domestic incident on Swan Street where she allegedly entered a residence and punched another person, while a child was present. Nickerson was arraigned in Batavia City Court and released.
On 2/6/2026, Thomas F. Hofmeier, 24, of Batavia, was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd, Menacing 2nd, and Criminal Mischief 4th. Hofmeier allegedly threatened another person with a knife and damaged a vehicle during an altercation on Ellicott Street. He was arraigned in CAP Court on 2/7/2026.

On 2/15/2026, Elizabeth A. Lindner, 39, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree. The charges stem from three separate incidents where Lindner was allegedly found in possession of crack cocaine. She was issued an appearance ticket and released.

On 2/15/2026, Maureen S. Murphy, 36, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Petit Larceny. Murphy allegedly stole merchandise from Quicklee’s on Oak Street. She was issued an appearance ticket and released.

On 2/13/2026, Trevon L. Armstrong, 40, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree. The arrest stems from a traffic stop in September of 2025, where Armstrong was allegedly found to be in possession of narcotics. He was issued an appearance ticket and is due in court on 2/24/2026.

On 2/10/2026, Tonya M. Holman, 54, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th degree. Holman is accused of selling items online that did not belong to her. She was issued an appearance ticket and is due in court on 2/24/2026.
On 2/12/26, Holman was arrested again. This time she was charged with Assault 3rd degree and Criminal Mischief 4th degree in relation to two separate incidents that occurred on the evening of 2/10/26. She was arraigned in CAP Court and released.

On 2/15/2026, Angelica D. Eckerd, 43, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with DWI. Eckerd was charged following a traffic stop on West Main Street. She was issued several traffic tickets and released.

On 2/14/2026, Kristiana M. Kitcho, 27, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with DWI. Kitcho was charged following a traffic stop on West Main Street. She was issued several traffic tickets and released.

On 2/12/2026, Nicholas I. Torres, 30, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Criminal Obstruction of Breathing and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Torres allegedly grabbed another person by the neck while a child was present during an altercation at a residence on East Main Street. He was arraigned in CAP Court and is due in Batavia City Court at a later date.

On 2/14/2026, James J. Boyce, 34, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Petit Larceny and Conspiracy 6th degree. His co-conspirator Crystal A. Mounts, 48, of Batavia, NY, was charged with Conspiracy 6th degree. It’s alleged that Mounts and Boyce worked together to steal merchandise from Family Dollar on East Main Street. Both were issued appearance tickets and released.

On 2/18/2026, Sarah A. Malone, 43, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree. Malone was allegedly found to be in possession of cocaine while being arrested on a warrant in October of 2025. She was issued an appearance ticket and is due in court on 3/3/2026.
