The high scores keep pouring in around the Genesee Region USBC.
At Rose Garden Bowl in Bergen, Jeremy Vallance of Batavia spun a 300 middle game on Feb. 24 in the Tuesday Scratch Doubles League. The right-hander started with 276 in what turned out to be a sparkling 768 series.

The previous week, Bill Neubert of Batavia made a notable return to the lanes after suffering a heart attack around Thanksgiving. The veteran righty rolled games of 256-225-267 for a 748 series in the Thursday Owls League at Rose Garden Bowl.
At Mancuso Bowling Center, Scott Shields of Batavia recorded a 299 game during a makeup session of the Toyota of Batavia 4-Man League on Feb. 22. The tall right-hander finished with a 781 series.
And at Le Roy Legion Lanes, Mike Hackett posted a 298 game on Feb. 12 in the American Legion Men’s League.
LOCALS CASH AT 60-AND-OVER TOURNAMENT
Four Genesee Region USBC members, led by Medina’s Jim Foss, cashed at the 60-and-Over Tour presented by Batavia Downs Gaming stop on Feb. 22 at Transit Lanes in Williamsville.
Foss made it all the way to the four-bowler final round where he rolled a 243 game to place second and earn $430.
Bill Hasiotis of Rochester took top honors with a 268 game to claim the $550 first prize. Earlier in the tournament, Hasiotis rolled a 300 game.
Mike Pettinella of Batavia reached the quarterfinals, winning $135; Bill Logan of Albion made it to the first round of the eliminator finals, pocketing $85, and Scott Shields of Batavia took home $60 as an alternate.
PBA member Jack Jurek of Buffalo placed third ($350) and Ray LeChase II of Rochester was fourth ($275).
The next tour event is set for March 15 at Doug Kent’s Rose Bowl Lanes in Newark.
PLENTY OF TOURNAMENT ACTION ON TAP
— This weekend marks the 23rd annual Ron Riggi Memorial four-person handicap tournament at Le Roy Legion Lanes with squad times at noon today and 1 p.m. on Sunday. First place, based on 24 teams, is $800.
— The Genesee Region USBC is running its third annual no-tap triples handicap tournament on March 7-8 at Mount Morris Lanes. First place is $900, based on 48 entries, and entry fee is $90 per team. For more information, go to www.bowlgr.com.

— The Genesee Region USBC Association Tournament will take place on March 20, 22, 27-29 with all of the events – Team, Doubles and Singles – at Mancuso Bowling Center. — The T.F. Brown’s Scratch Eliminator singles tournament is scheduled for March 21 at Mancuso Bowling Center. First place is $1,500. Entry fee is $70.
