BATAVIA, NY — The Downtown Batavia Business Improvement District (BID) and the GEICO
Batavia office, in conjunction with the City of Batavia, are proud to announce the return of the
Annual Memorial Day Parade. This year’s event will take place on Monday, May 25, 2026,
beginning promptly at 9:30 AM.
The parade serves as a cornerstone community event, bringing together residents, local
businesses, and organizations to honor the brave men and women who have served in the
United States Armed Forces.
Get Involved: Participants and Volunteers Needed
The parade committee is currently seeking local marching bands, vintage vehicles, veteran
groups, non-profit organizations, and community floats to join the procession.
In addition to parade entries, volunteers are needed to help with event logistics, lineup
coordination, and route support. If you would like to give back to the community and help ensure
a successful tribute to our heroes, we invite you to join our volunteer team.
