Located between Buffalo and Rochester, Wyoming County is the leading maple producer in New York State. During the last two weekends of March, everyone is invited to Maple Weekends to enjoy this family-oriented county-wide event.
- Wyoming County Maple Weekend #1 – Saturday March 21 & Sunday 22from 10AM-4PM (unless otherwise noted).
- Wyoming County Maple Weekend #2 – Saturday March 28 & Sunday 29 from 10AM-4PM (unless otherwise noted).
Over the course of two weekends, visitors can explore maple farms throughout Wyoming County, see how syrup is made, taste delicious samples, buy plenty of maple products like syrup, sugar, candy, BBQ sauce, mustard, maple slushies, mapleccinos, cotton candy, maple cream, hot sauce, maple tea and much more.
“Wyoming County proudly leads New York State in maple production and was the birthplace of Maple Weekends in New York,” said Eric Szucs, Director of Tourism for Wyoming County. “Nearly 20 members of the Wyoming County Maple Syrup Producers Association open their sugarhouses to visitors during Maple Weekends—more than any other county in the state. If you’re looking for an authentic maple experience, this is truly the epicenter of all things maple in Western New York. Visitors can see firsthand how syrup goes from the tree to your table, learn about the craft of maple production, and enjoy an incredible variety of maple treats made right on the farm by our talented local producers. It’s educational, fun, and without a doubt the sweetest two weekends of the year!”

Each stop along the way offers something unique—you’ll learn something new, see the process up close, and hear the stories behind the farms, families, and hard work that go into producing some truly outstanding maple products.”

Letchworth State Park – Humphrey Nature Center

Located in Letchworth State Park at the Humphrey Nature Center – activities run from 10am-4pm, with a pancake breakfast running from 10am-1pm. Learn maple production techniques, tree identification, how to tap maple trees, free educational walks/guided tours. Enjoy a pancake breakfast cooked by the Friends of Letchworth State Park using syrup from local maple producers – tickets are $12, kids under 5 eat free. Proceeds benefit Letchworth State Park projects and preservation.
