On March 20, 2026, the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint about an
incident which occurred at 8315 Park Rd, Batavia, NY.
On April 20, 2026, Michael J. Rapone, 72, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged in violation of New York State Penal Law 130.52(1) (Forcible Touching), and New York State Penal Law 240.26(1) (Harassment
in the 2nd Degree).
It is alleged that on March 2, 2026, Rapone, touched the intimate parts of another person for no legitimate purpose, as well as made unwanted physical contact with that person causing alarm.
Rapone was arraigned in CAP Court, and an order of protection was issued for the victim. Rapone was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to return to Batavia Town Court on May 05, 2026, at 10:00am.
