Brent J. Zafuto, 42, of Genesee Falls, was arrested on May 20the following an investigation into a
domestic incident in the Town of Genesee Falls on May 4th.
On May 5th, the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office was notified by the Livingston County
Sheriff’s Office that a School Resource Deputy was at a residence in the hamlet of Portageville,
checking on a student who attends Keshequa Central School. LCSO was following up on a report
from a school bus operator that the father of a child who rides the bus had stopped the bus and
asked if his child was currently riding. It was considered suspicious that the father did not know
whether his child was on the bus.
Upon completing the welfare check of the child, it was determined that a domestic incident had
occurred the night before, during which Zafuto allegedly damaged a television and smashed out
the windshield of a vehicle with a rock.
A warrant was issued for Zafuto, and he was arrested on May 20th after being located inside a
vehicle in the Town of Castile.
Zafuto was charged with Criminal Mischief in the 3rd degree and committed to the Wyoming
County Jail without bail due to having two prior felony convictions. Zafuto is scheduled to
answer the charge in the Town of Genesee Falls Court on 07/22/26

Patrick Christopher, 54, of Java Lake, was arrested following a traffic stop on May 18th, 2026.
Christopher was allegedly observed passing multiple vehicles in a no passing zone on Route 78 in Java Village.
During the traffic stop, Christopher advised he does not have a license and is suspended. This was
confirmed through NYS DMV.
Christopher was arrested and charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd degree, and issued traffic summons for unlicensed operator and passing in the no passing zone. Christopher is to answer the charges at the Town of Java Court at a later date.

On May 18th, 2026, David Allison, 68, of Cheektowaga, NY, was arrested due to an active bench warrant issued by the Town of Arcade for failure to pay a fine. Allison was arraigned and released on his own recognizance. Allison is to
return to Arcade Court on a later date
