The new building became operational in November 2025 after the demolition started in March of 2025, taking down the building that was added on to over the years since the late 60s. The older buildings were smaller in height and unable to accommodate the newer larger equipment according to Pembroke Town Supervisor Thomas Schneider.
The project cost was $5.5 million dollars, which included planning costs. Pembroke Town Supervisor Thomas Schneider explains more about the project in the above video interview.
