“I am proud to announce the completion of a two-and-a-half-year project, which vastly improves public
safety communications throughout Wyoming County. Not only has this project improved emergency
communications throughout the county, it has improved emergency communications throughout our
schools,” says Undersheriff Colin P. B. Reagan.
The project included upgrades to police and fire radio communications, and eliminated dead
zones in radio coverage within several schools and communities.

“I thank our staff and partners for the hard work and long hours they put in to complete this project, including 911 Coordinator Anthony Santoro, Bruce James, Secretary to the Sheriff Susan Scott, Motorola, Saia Communications, Inc., Village of Arcade, Attica Central School, Letchworth Central School and Perry Central School. The safety of our first responders and schools has always been a top priority of ours, and this project gives our first responders and School Resource Officers the communications they need to provide the highest level of public safety to Wyoming County.”
This project added multiple public safety tower sites to the existing radio network, and was made
possible through a NYS Statewide Interoperable Communications Grant [SICG]. The project totaled
approximately $1.7 Million Dollars, which was fully funded by the SICG grant. The project added five [5]
