Terry Hills Golf Course, a premier destination for golf enthusiasts in Western New York, will host the Genesee Cancer Assistance (GCA) 31st Annual Golf Tournament on July 25, 2026.
The tournament is GCA’s largest annual fundraiser and directly supports the organization’s mission of providing financial assistance to Genesee County residents battling cancer. Participants will enjoy a full day of golf, lunch, and dinner. New this year, the event will also feature a silent auction offering a variety of exciting prizes.
Nestled among rolling hills and beautifully maintained greens, Terry Hills’ 27-hole course provides an ideal setting for this highly anticipated community event and remains a favorite among local golfers.
This year’s tournament will include two Hole-in-One opportunities, raffles, two 50/50 splits, and a variety of contests — including Closest to the Pin, Longest Drive, and Double Your Buck — adding excitement and friendly competition throughout the day.
Genesee Cancer Assistance, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization co-founded by Mrs. Dorothy Schlaggel and the late Mr. Russ Romano. Their shared vision was to create an organization that provides cancer patients in Genesee County with access to financial assistance and supportive services. Since its founding, GCA has helped thousands of individuals and
continues to assist hundreds of patients each year.
In addition to the tournament, supporters can participate in a $2,500 cash drawing. Only 600 tickets will be sold at $20 each. The drawing will be held during the tournament, and the winner need not be present to win. Golfers are encouraged to register soon, as team spots are filling quickly. Sponsorship opportunities remain available, with a sponsorship deadline of July 6, 2026. Donations are always welcome, and volunteers are needed to help make the event a success.
