BATAVIA/Taco Bell looking to move to West Main and Montclair Avenue

Hospitality Syracuse, Inc, the owners of Taco Bell, are looking to move from their current location at 413 West Main
Street, to 244-248 West Main Street, the former Timebuyer location.

The new property is approximately 0.6 acres, and existing structures will be completely demolished to facilitate construction of the proposed Taco Bell. The applicant is proposing two full access driveways to the site, one on West Main Street and the
second on Montclair Avenue.

Truck deliveries will access the site from Montclair Avenue and exit on West Main Street.

According to APD Engineering’s Project Engineer, Stephanie Albright, the current sketch provides 26 parking spaces, where 21 spaces are required by code. A fence will be provided along the northern property line to buffer the residential properties. A 10’ wide bypass lane is provided along the drive thru lane.

The property is located within the 100-year floodplain, and the building will need to be floodproofed in accordance with the City requirements. While the full landscape buffers cannot be provided on this site, there will be a significant improvement on the existing conditions (e.g. 100% impervious site). The applicant says they are obtaining a traffic impact study, and it will be included in their full package submittal at a later date

Hospitality Syracuse, Inc will appear at the City Planning and Development Committee meeting to explain their project this Tuesday evening at City Council Chambers at 6:00PM.
