The Perry Police Department is investigating a disturbing case of suspected animal cruelty that occurred this afternoon, July 21,2026, on Simmons Road
At approximately 2:45 p.m., officers were alerted to several kittens in the roadway on Simmons Road between Rt. 20A and Page Road. Upon investigation. officers located four deceased kittens. Based on their injuries, it was determined each kitten had suffered obvious intentional trauma to the head. The nature of these injuries is inconsistent with being struck by a motor vehicle.
Police believe this incident sometime between 2:00 p.m. and 2:45 p.m.
The Perry Police Department is asking anyone who may have been traveling in the area during that time, or who has information regarding this incident, to come forward. Even minor details could prove valuable to the investigation.
