On 7/15/2026, Zachary W. Williams, 33, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree and Menacing 2nd degree. It’s alleged that Williams threatened another person with a knife during an altercation on Thorp Street. He was taken to the Genesee County Jail to be arraigned in CAP Court.
On 7/22/2026, Steven J. Godinho, 41, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Criminal Contempt 2nd degree and Aggravated Family Offense. Godinho was charged following an investigation into a domestic incident, where he allegedly violated an order of protection. He was arraigned in Batavia City Court and remanded to the Genesee County Jail.

On 7/19/2026, Zachary M. Burk, 29, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Petit Larceny. Burk allegedly stole merchandise from Aldi on East Main Street. He was issued an appearance ticket and released.

On 7/17/2026, Benjamin G. Evans, 37, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Petit Larceny. It’s alleged that Evans stole an e-bike from the porch of a residence on Manhattan Avenue. After being taken into custody, Evans was allegedly found in possession of narcotics. He was additionally charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree. Evans was issued an appearance ticket for each case and released.

On 7/20/2026, Alex Powell, 30, of Astoria, NY, was arrested and charged with DWI. Powell was charged following a traffic stop on East Main Street. He was issued several traffic tickets and released.

On 7/20/2026, Thomas A. Culver, 47, of Bergen, NY, was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree. Culver was arrested following a traffic stop on State Street, where he was allegedly operating a vehicle with switched plates. During the investigation, Culver was also allegedly found to be in possession of crack cocaine. He was additionally charged with numerous vehicle and traffic violations. He was issued appearance tickets and released.

On 7/14/2026, Donald D. Ryan, 42, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree. Ryan was arrested following a traffic stop on Harvester Avenue, where he was allegedly found in possession of crack cocaine. He was issued an appearance ticket and several traffic tickets and released.

On 7/15/2026, Maria L. Sanders, 49, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs. The arrest stems from an incident on 5/18/2026, where Sanders was allegedly found to be operating a vehicle while under the influence of drugs. She was also allegedly found in possession of narcotics. She was issued appearance tickets and released.
