Officials Expect the Largest Crowd of the Season to see the Country Music Icon

Batavia, NY – Batavia Downs Gaming & Hotel announced today that additional VIP tickets will go on sale for this Friday’s final outdoor concert of the season as country music star Jo Dee Messina makes her first ever appearance at The Downs.  Premium and VIP seating were already sold out for the concert, but Batavia Downs will add extra VIP tickets due to the high demand.  These additional tickets will go on sale at 10 am on Wednesday. General Admission Tickets are still available for $20 each.

Batavia Downs President & CEO Byron Brown said, “The demand for this concert has been strong ever since we first released our schedule back in February. We’ve heard over and over from our fans that they want more country artists at our venue and what better way to deliver than with two-time Grammy star Jo Dee Messina. We anticipate the largest crowd of the season and I’m pleased we can accommodate additional fans for Friday’s concert.”

“We’re pleased to release a limited of number of additional VIP tickets for Friday’s show, “said Vice President of Business Development Ryan Hasenauer.  “As always, seats in the VIP area are first come first served.  We expect these tickets to go very quickly.”

Concert attendees will also have a chance to enter a drawing to be selected for a meet and greet, prior to the show.  To enter the drawing, guests must visit Player’s Club between 3pm – 6pm with their ticket and redeem it for their free play.  They will receive an automatic entry into the meet and greet drawing.  Winners will be called between 6:15pm and 7pm, so entrants must have a phone number on file at Player’s Club.

Fans will also have a chance to purchase tickets to win a Guitar signed by Jo Dee Messina.  Proceeds from the Guitar Raffle will be given to the Walk of Hope which benefits Genesee Cancer Assistance.  Chairs for General Admission can be rented at the orange tent for just $5 – all proceeds benefit Make-A-Wish.

Doors open at 4 pm with live music starting at 5:30 pm when singer Alyssa Trahan takes the stage, followed by the Bennett Hall Band.

Go to bataviaconcerts.com at 10 am on Wednesday for a chance to purchase these $30 VIP tickets.
