Information provided by the Batavia Police Department
- On 9/2/2026, Joel Morales-Cruz 52, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Sex Abuse 1st degree, Forcible Touching and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
It’s alleged that Morales-Cruz sexually abused a child who was less than 11 years-old. He was arraigned in County Court and remanded to the Genesee County Jail.
- On 9/2/2026, Parodyce K. Warren, 21, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Criminal Contempt 1st degree and Criminal Mischief 3rd degree.
Warren allegedly violated an order of protection by shoving another person and damaging two cellphones during a domestic incident on Liberty Street. He was taken to the Genesee County Jail to be arraigned in CAP Court.
- On 9/3/2026, Maureen S. Murphy, 37, and Richard A. Miller, 40, were both arrested and charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree, Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd degree and Resisting Arrest.
Murphy and Miller allegedly fled on foot from a traffic stop on Elm Street where they attempted to conceal narcotics. Both were issued appearance tickets and released.

- On 9/8/2026, Cynthia M Stewart, 45, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Grand Larceny 4th degree, Petit Larceny and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Stewart allegedly stole a purse from Taco Bell on 9/3/2026. She was issued an appearance ticket and released.

- On 9/9/2026, John M. Queen, 44, and Mark D. Tooley, 43, were both arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree.
Queen and Tooley were charged following a traffic stop on Union Street, where they were allegedly found in possession of narcotics. They were each issued an appearance ticket and released.

Fitzpatrick was charged following a traffic stop on Union Street. She was issued several traffic tickets and released.

Murphy allegedly stole property from a residence on Summit St. She was arraigned in CAP Court.
