A fan of Rob Thompson purchasing several of his books after his presentation on Saturday
The Linden murders occurred in Linden in 1921, 1924 (3 people died), as well as in Attica on Buffalo Street Road in 1935. Thompson had two of his books available on Saturday ‘The Linden Murders Solved’ and ‘Twisted Tree, the Final Word on the Linden Murders.’ Several of his other works were also available.

“It’s called Stoker, the Linden murder. And so named because he worked at Westinghouse at a time when they were making cold stokers. So, this man lived for 30 years here in Attica, and he was buried here in the cemetery,” says Thompson.
“Stoker is kind of bringing it all home. We’ll talk about the disappearance of a prominent farmer out of Linden and Bethany area in 1929. We actually diagnose him as anti-social, sociopathic based on nature of the crimes and his upbringing. We also focus on linguistics and some anonymous letters on handwriting analysis. And on his commitment to the Rochester State Hospital.”
If you missed Saturday’s presentation at the Stevens Library in Attica, Thompson will hold another book discussion at Darien Town Hall 10569 Alleghany Rd, Darien Center, NY 14040 on November 19th at 6PM. Thompson will also be doing a book signing at the Alexander Craft Fair at the Alexander Fireman’s Banquet & Exposition Facility, 10708 Alexander Road, Alexander, NY on November 29th from 10AM -3PM.
