BATAVIA POLICE REPORT/Buffalo man breaks into residence and fights with another person

Devon D. Rogers, 30, of Langfield Dr., Buffalo, is charged with criminal contempt 1st, burglary 1st, criminal mischief 3rd and assault 3rd following a domestic dispute where he allegedly broke into a residence where the resident had a full stay away order of protection against him.

The incident occurred on Pearl street on June 10, 2017.

While inside the residence, Rogers became involved in a physical altercation with another person,causing injury to that person.

Rogers was arraigned in City Court and held without bail .

Rogers was also arrested for criminal contempt 2nd after contacting a person by phone on two occasions in violation of an order of protection.

He was also arraigned on a bench warrant out of City Court.

 

 

Joshua J. Dibble, 35, of Pearl St., Batavia, is charge with petit larceny after he was caught going through vehicles and stealing property in the area of Woodrow road and Union street on June 12, 2017.

Dibble is being held on $2,500 cash and $5,000 bond bail.

 

Gary D. Burney, 36, of N. Spruce St., Batavia, is charged with criminal contempt 2nd and burglary 2nd after he was located at a residence on N. Spruce street where he allegedly violated a stay away order of protection on June 8, 2017.

Burney was held at the Genesee County Jail.

Burney was also arrested on a warrant from November 12, 2016 for the charges of harassment 2nd, criminal contempt 1st, burglary 2nd, grand larceny 4th and endangering the welfare of a child.

Burney also had a warrant from July 11, 2016 on the charges of criminal contempt 1st and harassment 2nd.

 

 

Joseph J. Mazzarella, 64, of Summit St., Batavia, is charged with criminal mischief 4th and harassment 2nd following a domestic incident where it was alleged that he prevented a female from contacting emergency services on June 9, 2017.

Mazzarella also pushed the female to the ground.

He was arraigned in City Court and held on $250 bail.

Mazzarella was also arrested on a bench warrant from May 19, 2017.

 

Qumane J. Santiago, 18, of Main Rd., Stafford, is charged with menacing 2nd after police responded to a large disturbance at 27 Central avenue on June 9, 2017.

Santiago was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in City Court on June 20, 2107.

 

Richard G. Hafford Jr., 39, of Liberty St., and Brandon C. Smart, 39, of Hutchins St., both of Batavia, are each charged with disorderly conduct following a disturbance at 41 Central avenue near Pringle avenue on June 7, 2017.

Hafford and Smart attempted to start a physical altercation with people walking in the area, all in the presence of uniformed police officers.

Both were issued appearance tickets and will appear in City Court on June 20, 2017 at 1:00p.m.

 

 

Danny D. Williams Sr., 28, of Pearl St., Batavia, is charged with disorderly conduct after police responded to the report of multiple people fighting in the street at 14 Holland avenue.

Upon arrival, police made contact with Williams Sr., who was highly agitated and made violent and aggressive actions towards police.

Williams Sr. was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in City Court.

 

A 16 year old, of Linwwod Ave., Batavia, is charged with criminal mischief 4th and harassment 2nd following a dispute where the teen shoved a person and damaged property.

The teen was issued an appearance ticket for City Court.

 

Alex J. Ianita, 23, of Bank St., Batavia, is charge with criminal possession of a weapon 3rd after Ianita was allegedly found in possession of a set of metal knuckles on Bank street on June 9, 2017.

Ianita was arraigned and remanded to the jail without bail.

 

Tiffany A. Kent, 28, of Wood St., Batavia, is charged with obstruction of governmental administration 2nd after police arrived at her apartment with a warrant arrest for her roommate on June 5, 2017.

The roommate had just been seen entering the residence and Kent refused to cooperate with police and attempted to hide the roommate despite numerous warnings.

Kent was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in City Court.
