WYOMING COUNTY/Perry men arrested after allegedly stealing five vehicles

On June 29, 2017, two Perry men were arrested following the investigation of (5) vehicles and miscellaneous items that were stolen from residences and businesses throughout the night on June 11th and 12th, 2017.

Carl Vander, 22, and Gerald Keech, 20, both of 55 South Main Street in the Village of Perry, were each charged with grand larceny 3rd, three counts of grand larceny 4th, petit larceny and four counts of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle 3rd.

Vander and Keech were arraigned by County Judge Mohun on the charges after a Superior Court Warrant of Arrest was issued.

Vander, who was currently in jail on a probation violation, was committed back to jail on no bail and is scheduled to appear in County Court at a later date.

Keech, who is also on interim probation with Wyoming County for unrelated charges in Allegany County, was committed to jail on $5,000 bail and is also scheduled to appear in County Court at a later date.

All of the vehicles have been recovered and Deputies Daniel Kemp, Steven Miller, Chance Sampson, Michael Majtyka, Wyoming County Probation Officer John Lonsberry and the Perry Police Department all assisted with the investigation.
