ORLEANS COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Holley man charged after traveling at a high rate of speed on a motorcycle with a child

The Orleans County Sheriff’s Office has charged a Holley man after an alleged incident of reckless driving on Route 31 in the Town of Albion on August 19, 2017.

Hector Savage, 32, of West Albion St, Holley, N.Y., was observed by Deputy  Stirk traveling east on a motorcycle at speeds approaching 120 MPH. Savage was found to have a 9 year old child on the back of the motorcycle during this incident.

Savage is charged with speeding, uninspected motor vehicle, operating without insurance, no license plate, unregistered motor vehicle, unlicensed operation, operating without proper license class, reckless driving and endangering the welfare of a child.

Savage was released on appearance tickets and will appear in the Town of Albion Court. Deputy Tooley and NYSP Trooper Bentley assisted with this arrest.

 

The Orleans County Sheriff’s Office charged Jamie E. Smith, 20 , of Creek Rd, Holley, on August 17, 2017, following an ATV accident on Kendall Road in the Town of Kendall.

Smith is charged with DWI, unregistered ATV, no helmet-ATV, uninsured ATV, and operating an ATV unlawfully on a public highway. Smith was issued appearance tickets for the Town of Kendall Court. Investigation and arrest by Deputy M. Stirk, assisted by Deputy S. Fox and Sgt. J. Doyle.

 

John H. Bernie, of Clark St, Brockport, is charged with DWI  following a traffic stop on Route 104 in the Town of Murray on August 25, 2017. Bernie was also charged with failure to keep right and moving from a lane unsafely.

Bernie is scheduled to return to the Town of Murray Court.  The arrest was handled by Deputy B. Marsceill.
