High School Football/Attica@Pembroke/ Pembroke holds Attica to only first half points in big win

The Attica Blue Devils(2-3) traveled to Pembroke to take on the 4-1 Dragons during their homecoming on Friday night.

The Dragons started the scoring with a nice run up the sideline by Jacob Miller at 5:30 of the 1st quarter to make it 6-0.

At 5:14 of the 1st, Attica coughed up the ball and Pembroke recovered the fumble which lead to a 2nd quarter TD by Zach von Kramer to put the Dragons up 13-0.

Mason Compton got the Blue Devils on the board in the 2nd with a good run to make it 14-6.

Zach von Kramer responded with a 62 yard scamper to the end zone slipping through several tackles along the way to put Pembroke up 20-6.

Attica responded late in the 2nd quarter, Mason Compton, with 1:06 remaining in the half scored to make it 20-12.

With 30 seconds left in the 2nd, Mike Donohue intercepted a Ried Miano pass and trucked the ball to the red zone where he finished the series catching a pass in the end zone with 21 seconds remaining in the half to put Attica right back into the game.

The score at the half was 21-20 Pembroke.

In the second half it was all Pembroke.

The Dragons scored 14 points while the Blue Devils came up empty handed.

The final score was 35-20 Pembroke.

The Dragons will travel to Holley next week while Attica will face off against Notre Dame in Batavia.
