The Town of Stafford held a “Meet the Candidates Night” on Wednesday at the Town Hall in preparation for the November 7th vote.
Candidates running for elected office this year are:
County Legislator -Andrew Young(R) Vote for one
Town Council/Vote for two
Robert Mattice (R,C,I)
Ron Panek(R,C,I)
Jackie Cavanaugh(D)
Town Clerk/Vote for one
Michelle McEwen(Michelle for Town Clerk)
Julie Scheuerlein(D,R,I,C)
Highway Superintendent/Vote for one
Steven Boldt(D,R,C,I)
Residents were able to write up questions on paper that were then collected by Host Margaret DeBellis and then asked by moderator Professor Norman Gayford, who teaches Public Speaking at GCC.
Residents and candidates enjoyed refreshments and conversation afterwards.
The event lasted little over two hours.
