Ten fire companies responded to 4008 Dutton road in the Town of Gainesville for a house fire on June 30, 2019.
The house is owned by Fred and Kelly Dahl.
Fire crews from Gainesville, Bliss, Castile, Pike, Silver Springs, Warsaw, Perry, Perry Center, Wyoming and North Java responded and were on scene for 9 hours.
Also assisting on scene was Wyoming County Emergency Services, Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department, Gainesville Fire Co. Auxiliary, Wyoming Correctional, Town of Gainesville, NYS Police, NYSEG and Hulme Construction.
No injuries were reported.
Estimated loss is $200,000.
The fire was reported about 4:01a.m. and the house, a barn, a truck and a boat were lost in the blaze. Two neighbor’s houses and two garages were also damaged in the fire, estimated loss on their properties is $30,000.
The cause is under investigation.
The Red Cross is assisting a family of five.
