A truck hauling manure on Burns road caught fire while driving down the road on Thursday afternoon, May 12, 2022.
Fire crews from Warsaw, Perry and Silver Springs were called to extinguish an engine compartment fire about 1:33p.m. The truck is owned by Titan Enterprises and was totally destroyed in the fire.
Firefighters were on scene for about 4 hours and a County Hazmat team was also called for a fuel spill cleanup that was overseen by NYS DEC.
Also assisting on scene, Wyoming County Emergency Services, Wyoming County Hazmat Team, Town of Warsaw Highway Department, Valley Sales & Service LLC, and NYS DEC.
