ORLEANS COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Albion man charged for cutting window screens at friend’s apartment

The Orleans County Sheriff’s Office arrested an Albion man for causing damage to property at Creekwood apartments in the Town of Gaines.

Michael T. Coffey, 47, of Main St., Albion, allegedly cut window screens to gain entry to an apartment of an acquaintance.

Coffey is charged with criminal mischief 4th. He was arraigned before Town of Gaines Justice Schmidt.

Coffey was remanded to the custody of the Sheriff with bail set at $1,000 cash or $2,000 bond.

He is scheduled to return to the Town of Gaines Court on February 8, 2017.

The Orleans County Sheriff’s Office has charged three people following a report of suspicious activity at the Mount Albion Cemetery on Rt. 31 in the Town of Albion on January 30, 2017.

At 3:19 a.m., Sgt D. Foeller, while on patrol, reportedly observed a vehicle driving into the cemetery which was closed at the time.

Upon further investigation, two vehicles were located in a wooded area at the back of the cemetery with their lights off.

Christian K. Mell, 20, of Prospect St., Attica, and Timothy D. Dioguardi, 28, of College View Dr., Batavia, were each charged with unlawful possession of marijuana after a smoking pipe, grinder and marijuana were allegedly found in their possession.

Mell and Dioguardi were issued appearance tickets and both are scheduled to appear in the Town of Albion Court on February 15, 2017 at 9:00am.

 

Jill A. Rechtsiegel, 37,  of Brown St, Albion, is charged with aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd .

Rechtsiegel is scheduled to appear in the Town of Albion Court on February 21, 2017 at 9:00am.

Sgt Foeller was assisted by Deputy S. Fox, and Albion Police Officer Burke.
