WYOMING COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Warsaw man accused of being impaired by drugs and alcohol after traffic complaint

Toupoc Allen, 22, of Warsaw,  was arrested for DWI(misdemeanor), driving with a BAC above 0.08%, driving while impaired by drugs, driving while impaired by drugs and alcohol combined, and failure to use headlights after dark, following a traffic complaint on East Buffalo Street in the Village of Warsaw on February 8, 2017.

Allen was observed driving on Main Street and East Buffalo Street without any headlights on. Allen’s vehicle then broke down in the driving lane on East Buffalo Street.

Allen failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for driving while intoxicated. He submitted to a breath test which showed his BAC to be above 0.08%.

Deputy Aaron Chase, a Drug Recognition Expert, did a drug influence evaluation on Allen and found him to also be impaired by drugs.

Allen was arraigned in the Village of Warsaw Court and committed to the Wyoming County Jail on $1,000 cash bail.

He is due back in court on March 6, 2017.

The Warsaw Police Department assisted with the investigation.
