BATAVIA POLICE REPORT/Hutchins street man charged after striking juvenile students from the NYS School for the blind

Kenneth L. Darch, 57, of Hutchins St., Batavia, is charged with harassment 2nd/physical contact and endangering the welfare of a child after allegedly striking two juvenile students from the the NYS School for the Blind while they were on a field trip at Blondie’s Ice Cream on East Main street on July 28, 2016.

Police were assisted in the investigation by the NYS Justice Center in Albany.

Darch was issued an appearance ticket on February 21, 2107 and will appear in City Court at a later date.

 

 

A Brooklyn avenue couple have been charged with 3 counts of endangering the welfare of a child after an incident at their residence on Brooklyn avenue on February 18, 2017.

William A. Andrews, 37, is also charged with criminal contempt 2nd  after he allegedly violated two orders of protection by being present at the residence.

William was arraigned in City Court and held without bail.

Emily A. Andrews, 38, was arraigned in City Court and was held on $2,000 cash or $4,000 bond bail.

 

 

Tatiana C. Lugo, 22, of Hutchins St., Batavia, is charged with menacing after a domestic incident where she allegedly was going to cut the victims hair off and then threatened the victim with bodily harm.

Lugo was arraigned in City Court and released under the supervision of Genesee Justice and will re-appear in court on March 16, 2017.

 

Brenden M. Mullen, 31, of Batavia Elba Townline Rd., Batavia, is charged with aggravated harassment 2nd following an investigation into a domestic incident where Mullen allegedly sent numerous unwanted and threatening text messages and phone calls to a person on February 17, 2017.

Mullen was arraigned in City Court and released.

Mullen was also arraigned in an arrest warrant issued out of City Court for failing to appear in City Court on two traffic tickets, operating with a suspended registration and uninspected motor vehicle.

Mullen was released on those charges also.

 

Tyler D. Price, 24, of Liberty St., Batavia, is charged with criminal mischief 4th and criminal contempt 2nd after a disturbance at a residence on Liberty street on February 18, 2017.

Price allegedly came to the residence, attempted to enter the home and in the process damaged a rear door window.

Price also violated a stay away order of protection.

He was located on February 19, 2017 by police and taken into custody.

Price was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in City Court on February 28, 2017 at 1:00 p.m.

 

Maurilio C. Osorio, 32, of S. Main St., Batavia, is charged with DWI, aggravated DWI, driving with a BAC of .18% or more, unlicensed operator, open container of a alcohol in a motor vehicle and failure to keep right after a traffic stop on West Main street on February 19, 2017.

Osorio was arraigned in City Court and held on $2,500 cash or bond bail.

 

Jerald A. Shuler III, 23, of Summit St., Batavia, is charged with suspended registration, aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd, unlicensed operation and unlawful possession of marijuana after a traffic stop on West Main street on February 8, 2017.

During the stop it was determined that Shuler III’s license privilege was suspended and he was also found to be in possession of an amount of marijuana located inside his vehicle.

Shuler III was issued appearance tickets.

 

Summer L. Haskins, 23, of Old Creek Rd., Alexander, is charged with DWI, operating a motor vehicle with a BAC of .08% or more and no or inadequate head lamps following a traffic stop on Ellicott street on February 20, 2017.

Haskins was issued appearance tickets and will appear in City Court on March 1, 2107 at 9:00 a.m.

 

Keith J. McKenzie, 50, of Lewis Ave., Batavia, is charged with DWI, improper right turn, and refusal to take a breath test after an investigation into an erratic operation complaint.

McKenzie was pulled over on West Main street on February 18, 2017.

He was arraigned in City Court and released on his own recognizance and will appear in City Court later today.

 

Vincent A. Sanfratello, 51, of Liberty St., Batavia, is charged with petit larceny after allegedly stealing a magazine from Southside Deli on Ellicott street on February 10, 2017.

Sanfratello was issued an appearance ticket.

 

 

Tyrone L. Richardson, 41, of Brooklyn Ave., Batavia, was arrested on a bench warrant for failure to appear for a scheduled court appearance in November of 2015.

Richardson was arraigned in City Court and jailed on $1,000 cash bail and $2,000 bond bail.

 

Timothy R. Johnson, 35, of Monroe St., Silver Creek, NY, was arrested on a bench warrant for failure to appear in court for sentencing on a conviction for criminal mischief 4th from March of 2011.

Johnson was arraigned in City Court oand jailed on $1,000 cash bail and $2,000 bond bail.

 

 

Henry L. Banks, 46, of Ross St., Batavia, was arrested on a bench warrant out of City Court for failure to appear.

He was released on his own recognizance and was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in City Court later today.

 

Paris J. McCrimmon, 24, of Whitney Ave., Niagara Falls, NY, was arrested on a bench warrant out of City Court for failure to appear for a scheduled court appearance on February 2, 2017.

McCrimmon was arraigned in City Court and jailed on $100,000 cash or bond bail.

 

 

Eric M. Smith, 31, of Iroquois Rd., Caledonia, NY, was turned over to Batavia Police on a warrant for failure to comply with a court ordered treatment.

He was turned over to Batavia Police on February 21, 2017.

Smith was arraigned in City Court and jailed on $500.00 bail.

He will appear in City Court later today.
