BATAVIA/Arrest made in Jackson street shooting

Jeremy R. Armstrong, age 26, has been arrested on a City Court Arrest Warrant for Attempted Murder 2nd and Criminal Use of a Firearm 1st in relation to the shooting incident which occurred on Jackson St. on 12/02/2016.

The victim was shot by Armstrong several times at a close distance. The victim, who was familiar with Armstrong, was treated at a local hospital.

Armstrong was located outside of a family member’s residence in East Hartford, Connecticut on 02/28/2017 and taken into custody without incident.

City Detectives have been working closely with the East Hartford, Connecticut Police Department after learning Armstrong may have been in that area.

Armstrong will be held in Connecticut pending an extradition hearing.
