WYOMING COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Wayne County woman facing drug charges after traffic stop

 

Brandie Schumacher, 36, of Wayne County, was arrested following a traffic stop on Route 20A in the Town of Sheldon on April 1, 2017.

She was stopped for speeding, 56 MPH in a speed zone of 35 MPH.

Schumacker failed roadside field tests and was arrested for DWAI/ Drugs. Deputies discovered over a gram of methamphetamine, a scale, a smoking pipe, two other kinds of pills which were a controlled substance, and other drug paraphernalia inside her vehicle.

Schumacher is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd, a class C felony, 2 counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th, 2 counts of criminal use of drug paraphernalia 2nd, DWI/Drugs, all misdemeanors, and speeding in a zone.

She was arraigned in the Town of Sheldon Court and committed to the Wyoming County Jail on $50,000 cash bail.

Schumacher is due back in court on April 10, 2017.

New York State Police assisted with the roadside investigation.

 

As a result of a motor vehicle accident with injuries on Rt. 39 in the Town of Perry on April 2, 2017, Andrew P. Kelsey, 59, of Perry was arrested for DWI.

Kelsey was operating his vehicle east on Rt. 39 when he crossed the roadway striking another vehicle which was west bound on Rt.39.

An investigation into the accident revealed Kelsey was intoxicated at the time. He was injured in the accident transported to Wyoming County Community Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The operator of the other vehicle involved was not injured.

Kelsey will appear in the Town of Perry Court at a later date.

 

The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of Curtis Washington, 35, of Buffalo on a warrant issued by the Village of Warsaw Justice Court for failure to pay a fine on March 31, 2017.

Washington was located in the City of Buffalo and returned to the Village of Warsaw Court where he was arraigned in front of Justice Blythe.

Washington was released to the Probation Department.
