GENESEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Oakfield man accused of using walking cane to smuggle cigarettes into the jail

Roy D. Hooten, 56, of S. Main St., Oakfield, is charged with promoting prison contraband after he entered the jail with a walking cane that allegedly contained 10 cigarettes on May 16, 2017.

Hooten was in the process of being committed to the jail when the cigarettes were discovered.

He will appear in City Court on May 30, 2017 to answer the charge.

 

Charles G. Monacelli, 43, of W. Bacon Rd., Albion, is charged with petit larceny after removing a tail gate from a pick up truck that was parked on the side of the road and placed it into his vehicle and drove off with it.

The incident occurred on May 13, 2017 after an auction on Wortendyke road.

Monacelli will appear in Batavia Town Court on June 13, 2017 to answer the call.

 

Bryan C. Greek, 31, of Electric Ave., Rochester, is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana following a traffic stop in the Town of Stafford on Clinton street road on May 13, 2017.

Greek allegedly possessed a rolled cigar containing marijuana.

He was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in the Town of Stafford Court on June 16, 2017.

 

Matthew B. Starowitz, 28, of Whitney Mill Rd., Elba, is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and a muffler exhaust violation following the observation of a vehicle and traffic violation in the Town of Stafford on Byron Holley road on May 12, 2017.

Starowitz allegedly possessed a quantity of marijuana on his person.

He was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in Stafford Town Court on June 16, 2017.
