Tesla R. Plantiko, 25, of Seven Springs Rd., Batavia, pleaded not guilty at her arraignment in Batavia Town Court on Monday afternoon.
Plantiko is charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
She is accused of allowing her two small children outside without adult supervision or adequate clothing for weather conditions as temperatures were in the low 20’s.
According to police, Plantiko was allegedly sleeping at the time of the incident which occurred on February 1, 2017 on West Main street road in Batavia.
She was assigned a Public Defender in court on Monday and was released on recognizance. Her next court appearance is August 28, 2017 at 1:30p.m.
