WYOMING COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/NYC man charged in traffic stop, license suspended 24 times

Carlos Silva, 34, of NYC, was arrested following a traffic stop on Route 20A in the Town of Sheldon on June 26, 2017.

Silva was stopped for speeding, 50 MPH in a 35 MPH speed zone.

Silva’s license was found to be suspended 24 times with 22 of the suspensions on 15 different dates.

Silva was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation 1st (Class E Felony) and speeding in a zone.

He was arraigned in the Town of Sheldon Court and committed to the Wyoming County Jail on $15,000 cash bail or $30,000 bond.

Silva is due back in court on August 8, 2017.

 

Zachary R. Kersch, 21, of Oak St., Warsaw, was arrested following an investigation into an underage drinking complaint in the Village of Wyoming on June 26, 2017.

A joint effort by the Warsaw Police Department and the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office led to accusations that Kersch provided an underage 17 year old female with alcohol while at the Wyoming Village Park during the month of May, 2017.

Kersch is charged with unlawfully dealing with a child 1st, and he was arrested inside the Wyoming County Jail while being incarcerated on an unrelated charge.

Kersch is scheduled to appear in the Town of Middlebury Court on July 10, 2017 to answer the charge.
