BATAVIA POLICE REPORT/Two men held without bail after allegedly breaking into a cooler

Duane A. Mather, 44, of Raymond Ave., and Charles D. Macey, 37, of Holland Ave., both of Batavia, are each charged with burglary 3rd, petit larceny, conspiracy 5th and possession of burglar tools following a report of people breaking into a storage cooler at 212 West Main street, Arby’s.

The incident occurred on June 26, 2017 at 1:38a.m.

Mather is also charged with false written statement.

Macey is additionally charged with criminal mischief 4th.

Both were arraigned in City Court and held without bail.

They appeared in City Court this morning.

 

Leaddice J. Daniels, 41, of E.Main St., Batavia, is charged with grand larceny 4th after allegedly stealing a wallet containing several credit cards at 300 Ellicott street on June 22, 2017.

Daniels was arraigned in City Court and jailed without bail.

 

Stephen J. Turkasz, 26, of Claudette Ct., Cheektowaga, is charged with criminal contempt 1st after threatening to harm a protected party in an order of protection during a phone call on June 8, 2017 on E. Main street.

Turkasz was arraigned in City Court and released on recognizance and will appear in City Court on July 18, 2017 at 1:30.

 

Robert R. Gerety, 44, of Elm St., Batavia is charged with DWI, aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd and moving from a lane unsafely after a rollover accident on Richmond avenue on June 20, 2017.

Gerety was issued citations and issued an appearance ticket and appeared in City Court on June 28, 2017.

 

Nathan E. Hinze, 24, of Clifton Ave., Batavia, is charged petit larceny following an investigation into a shoplifting complaint at 99 Jackson street, Kwik Fill, after allegedly taking a bottle of water without paying for it.

Hinze was issued an appearance ticket and released. He will appear in City Court on July 11, 2017.

 

Aria D. Rodriguez, 21, of Hudson Ave,, Rochester, was arrested in a warrant for failing to appear on traffic tickets from April 2017. Rodriguez is charged with aggravated unlicensed operation 2nd, unlicensed operator and speeding in a zone.

She was arraigned in City Court and jailed in lieu of $500 bail .

Rodriguez was also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana after an amount of marijuana was found on her person at the time of her arrest on June 27, 2017. She was issued an appearance ticket on that charge.

 

A 17 year old, of Washington Ave., Batavia, is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana after an officer located an amount of marijuana in a vehicle the teen was operating during a traffic stop at 14 West Main street on June 29, 2017.

The teen was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in city Court on July 11, 2017.
