JW Hardy III, age 30, of 216 Liberty Street, Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with assault 1st and gang assault 1st in reference to the stabbing that occurred overnight at 318 East Main Street.
Both charges are class B felonies.
Hardy III was arraigned in Batavia City Court by Judge Balbick and remanded to the Genesee County Jail without bail.
Hardy III is scheduled to appear in Batavia City Court on July 20, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.
The investigation is still ongoing at this time.
