WYOMING COUNTY/Java man found driving a car with no windows,doors and plates with ax in the roof

Jared T. Price, 21, of Rt. 77, Java, was arrested following a complaint of a suspicious vehicle on July 24, 2017.

Wyoming County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the report of a vehicle driving without license plates on Younger Road in the Town of Wethersfield.  Deputies arrived and located a vehicle operated by Jared T. Price on Younger Road at the intersection with Wethersfield Road.

The vehicle was observed driving with no license plates, no windshield, and no doors with an axe stuck in the roof.  During the traffic stop Price performed poorly on field sobriety testing and was taken into custody.  Price’s vehicle was towed from the scene, and he was taken to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office for a drug influence evaluation.  Price was evaluated by a certified Drug Recognition Expert and was found to be impaired by multiple different drug categories.

Price is charged with DWAI/drugs, DWAI/ combined influence of drugs, no license plates, unregistered motor vehicle, uninspected motor vehicle, operating without insurance, no front windshield, and no safety glass.

Price was arraigned in the Town of Gainesville Court where bail was set in the amount of $10,000.00 cash bail or $20,000.00 bond.  Price was scheduled for further proceedings in the Town of Wethersfield Court on August 1, 2017.
