WYOMING COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Wyoming man charged after driving to business on a revoked license after suspicious condition call

On July 26, 2017 at 9:31pm, Wyoming County Sheriff’s Deputies investigated a suspicious condition at a closed business in the Village of Wyoming.

A vehicle was observed at the business with a male walking around the exterior of the building.

During the investigation, Christian J. Finkney, 29, of Wyoming, NY, was found to be at the business with permission, but he had driven to the business with a revoked New York State non-driver identification card.

Finkney was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation 2nd – Alcohol Related Revocation, aggravated unlicensed operation 2nd – 3 or more dates, aggravated unlicensed Operation 3rd, operating a motor vehicle without ignition interlock device, and unlicensed operator.

Finkney was arraigned in the Village of Warsaw Court where bail was set in the amount of $500.00 cash bail and $2,000.00 bond.  Finkney is scheduled to return to the Town of Middlebury Court on July 31, 2017 to answer the charges.

 

Charles H. Woodworth, 71, was arrested following a domestic incident on Burke Hill Road in the Town of Perry on July 25, 2017.  Woodworth allegedly threw a coffee cup at a female subject causing it to break during a domestic dispute.

The incident took place in the presence of a three year old child.

Woodworth was arrested and charged with criminal mischief 4th and endangering the welfare of a child.  Woodworth is scheduled to appear in the Town of Perry Court on August 23, 2017 at 6:00p.m. to answer the charges.

 

Sally A. Johnston,,58, of Germantown, Maryland, was arrested following a traffic stop on Route 63 in the Town of Covington on July 24, 2017.

Johnston was stopped during a speeding enforcement detail for traveling 79mph in a 55mph zone.

During the stop, Johnston’s license was found to have been suspended in New York State since 1987 for failure to answer two traffic tickets. Johnston was arrested and charged with speed over 55MPH and aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd .

Johnston is scheduled to answer the charges in the Town of Covington Court on August 21, 2017.
