A male in his 30’s, who was found hiding behind a warehouse on Call Parkway about 11:30p.m. Saturday after a domestic incident in Elba, escaped UMMC this morning in his underwear and hospital gown about 9:30a.m.
After a two hour search, deputies, troopers, police, DEC officers, a K-9 unit along with a State Police helicopter were able to shag the suspect out of a wooded area south of the thruway. The male subject then ran across the NYS Thruway in his underwear and law enforcement was able to take him into custody.
In the last hour, the male subject was arraigned in the Town of Elba Court on felony charges. He is reportedly facing assault 2nd, criminal mischief and criminal contempt 1st charges after the domestic incident.
In the Town of Batavia he will reportedly face a DWI charge after allegedly being found hiding in his pick up truck behind a warehouse on Call Parkway. His pickup was towed from the scene this morning.
