GENESEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Elba man accused of selling someones vehicle for scrap

Matthew S. Williams, 29, of Hundredmark Rd., Elba, is charged with grand larceny 4th and falsifying business records 1st after he allegedly sold a vehicle for scrap when he had no right to do so as he was not the owner of the vehicle.

Williams also allegedly signed documents purporting himself as the owner of the vehicle, facilitating the sale of the vehicle.

The incident occurred on September 28, 2017 on Clinton street road.

Williams was arraigned on October 27, 2017 in the Town of Bergen Court and was remanded to the Genesee County Jail on $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond bail.

Williams is also charged in a separate incident that occurred on October 25, 2017.

Following an investigation into a theft of catalytic converters from a residence on Hundredmark road in Elba, Williams was arrested and charged with petit larceny and auto stripping after allegedly stealing two catalytic converters from a neighbor’s vehicles.

Williams was released with an appearance ticket on these charges and will appear in Elba Town Court on November 8, 2017 at 6:00 p.m.

 

 

John A. Petronio, 35, of Long Bridge Rd., Albion, is charged with criminal possession of a weapon 4th and unlawful possession of marijuana following a traffic stop on Rt. 19 in the Town of LeRoy on October 28, 2017.

Petronio was allegedly in possession of an electronic stun gun and was stopped for speeding.

He was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in the Town of LeRoy Court on November 20, 2017 at 1:00 p.m.

 

 

Cindy M. Auberger, 54, of Keitel Rd., Albion, is charged with felony DWI, previous conviction within 10 years, drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle on a highway, unlawful possession of marijuana and refusal to take a breath test after an investigation into a vehicle parked roadside on Clinton street in Bergen on October 29, 2017.

Auburger was arraigned in the Town of Bergen Court and will appear again on November 8, 2017 at 5:00 p.m.

 

 

Michael C. Friedman, 60, of Quarry Hill Est., Akron, NY, is charged with DWI, aggravated DWI, driving with a BAC of .18% or more and possession of an open container in a motor vehicle after a traffic stop on Macomber road in Alabama on October 30, 2017.

Friedman was released and issued an appearance ticket and will appear in Alabama Town Court on December 19, 2017 at 6:00p.m.

 

 

Daniel E.King, 41, or Alleghany Rd., Pembroke, is charged with criminal trespass 3rd, disorderly conduct and unlawful possession of marijuana following an incident where he allegedly returned to Batavia Downs after being told to leave. King also was using obscene language causing public alarm.

King was arraigned and remanded to the Genesee County Jail on $1,000 cash and $2,000 bond bail and is due back in the Town of Batavia Court on November 14, 2017 at 1:00 p.m.
