BATAVIA POLICE REPORT/Postal carrier spots suspicious man in back of a residence

Austin L. Wester, 23, of Pratt Rd., Batavia, is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th and criminal use of drug paraphernalia after a postal carrier spotted a suspicious person in the back of a residence on Ross street on October 25, 2017.

Police say Wester reportedly appeared to be casing the residence.

He was arraigned in City Court and jailed in lieu of $20,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond bail. Wester appeared in court again on October 26, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.

 

 

Geoffrey M. Anderson Jr., 52, of Wood St., Batavia, is charged with criminal trespass at a school and harassment 2nd/physical contact after he entered the Middle school on Ross street on October 27, 2017.

Anderson was arrested after he entered the school building he was not authorized to be in.

While being escorted out of the building, Anderson forcefully pulled away from a security aide and made threatening statement to the aide.

Anderson was arraigned in City Court and remanded to the Genesee County Jail and will re-appear at a later date.

 

Ryan N. Bartholomew, 23, of Adams St., Batavia, is charged with disorderly conduct after he used obscene language with a person in the City of Batavia while in a vehicle on a public highway on  October 25, 2017.

Bartholomew was also issued traffic citations for failing to stop for a stop sign and operating a motor vehicle without at least one hand on the steering mechanism. The incident occurred on Orleans avenue.

He will appear in City Court on November 9, 2017.

 

James M. Rossiter, 35, of Clifton Ave., Batavia, is charged with DWI, aggravated DWI, with a BAC greater than .18%, failure to signal, failed to use headlights and moving from a lane unsafely following a traffic stop on N. Spruce street on October 29, 2017 at 1:04 a.m.

Rossiter was processed and released and will appear in City Court on November 8, 2017 at 9:00 a.m.

 

Michael J. DiFalco, was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of City Court for a petit larceny that occurred on S. Main street on September 24, 2017.

DiFalco was arraigned in City Court and remanded to the Genesee County Jail on $5,000 cash bail and $10,000 bond bail. He re-appeared in City Court on October 26, 2017.

 

Danielle E. Cummings, 39, of Batavia Oakfield Townline Rd., Batavia, was taken into custody at the Wayne County Jail on a bench warrant out of City Court on October 27, 2017.

Cummings was arraigned on City Court and jailed on $2,500 cash or bond bail.
