GENESEE COUNTY/Batavia man arrested for sale and possession of crack cocaine

Joseph B. James, 36, of Central Ave., Batavia, is charged with two counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance 3rd and two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd, both class B felonies, after allegedly selling crack cocaine to an agent of the Genesee County Local Drug Task Force on two occasions in and around the City of Batavia in October of this year.

James was arrested while at the Courts Facility today where he was being sentenced in an unrelated matter.

James was jailed without bail.

The Genesee County District Attorney’s Office assisted Task Force Members with the investigation.
