BATAVIA POLICE REPORT/Pratt road man jailed after allegedly stealing checks and cashing them

Austin L. Wester, 23, of Pratt Rd., Batavia, was arrested on an active warrant out of Batavia City Court on Jefferson avenue on December 11, 2017.

Wester is charged with four counts of forgery 3rd and one count of petit larceny after he allegedly took checks belonging to another person and forged the name of that person and cashed the checks on October 24, 2017

Wester is also charged with possession of a hypodermic instrument after a hypodermic needle was located in his pocket during the arrest. He was issued an appearance ticket on this charge and will appear in City Court on December 19, 2017.

Wester was arraigned on the warrant charges in City Court and jailed in lieu of $1,000 cash or bond bail.

 

 

Shawn M. Twardowski, 35, of W. Main St., Batavia, who is currently incarcerated at the Genesee County Jail, allegedly sent a letter via the United States Postal Service to a female acquaintance on November 18, 2017, which was in violation of a complete stay away order of protection issued by Batavia City Court.

Twardowski also sent a letter via United States Postal Service to a female acquaintance on March 26, 2017, which also violated a complete stay away order of protection issued by City Court.

He was arraigned on the charges on December 13, 2017.

 

 

Davon S. St. John, 19, of Oak St., Batavia, is charged with petit larceny after he allegedly stole property on East Main street on September 25, 2017.

St. John was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in City Court on December 19, 2017 at 1:00p.m.

 

Tucker J. Bezon, 18, of Elba, and Jayme K. Foster, no age or address provided, are each charged with unlawful possession of marijuana after a traffic stop on Liberty street on December 8, 2017.

Bezon and Foster were issued appearance tickets and will appear in City Court on December 19, 2017.
