WYOMING COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Warsaw man facing charges after car breaks down in Attica

On February 19, 2018, a Warsaw man was arrested following an investigation into a broken down car on Plowe Road in the Town of Attica.

Jacob J. Sumeriski, 56, of Warsaw, was observed by deputies parked roadside after experiencing vehicle issues.

Sumeriski was found to be in possession of a pipe, commonly used for smoking crack cocaine, along with other drug paraphernalia. He also was showing possible signs of drug impairment.

Following a DWAI investigation, Sumeriski was placed under arrest.

Sumeriski was transported to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office where he underwent a drug influence evaluation by a Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office Drug Recognition Expert. He was found to be impaired by drugs and unable to operate a vehicle safely.

Sumeriski is charged with DWAI/ Drugs and criminal use of drug paraphernalia 2nd.

Sumeriski was released with appearance tickets to a sober third party and will answer the charges at a later date in the Town of Attica Court.
