The spring like weather on Tuesday allowed work crews to put the finishing touches on a new ambulance hub for Mercy Flight EMS on Call Parkway in the Town of Batavia.
After a groundbreaking last September, the new 12,000 square foot ambulance hub for Mercy Flight EMS will house 7 ambulances at one time and a total of 100 employees. The project cost was about 2 million dollars.
The new space also provides ambulance workers with offices, crew rooms, a training room and with space for laundry and lunch breaks.
A ribbon cutting will take place May 21, 2018 at 12:30p.m.
The ambulance crews will officially move from the Jerome Center on Bank street in the City of Batavia just before the ribbon cutting and be ready to go just after.
