On May 5, 2018 at 10:00 p.m., Troopers out of State Police Warsaw arrested Tyler J. Salamone, 23, of Castile, for Driving while ability impaired by the combined influence of drugs and/or alcohol, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, unlawful possession of marihuana and other vehicle and traffic infractions.
Troopers stopped Salamone for speeding on Rt.39 in the Town of Castile. They detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage and a strong odor of marihuana emanating from the vehicle. Salamone was placed under arrest after failing multiple Field Sobriety tests and transported to State Police Warsaw for an evaluation by a drug recognition expert and for processing.
Salamone was issued traffic tickets returnable to the town of Castile court on May 21, 2018 at 7:30 PM.
