STATE POLICE REPORT/Buffalo woman arrested during traffic stop for speeding

On June 26, 2018 at 3:45 P.M., Troopers out of Batavia arrested Brittany A. Young, 23, of Buffalo, NY, for criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th degree, unlawful possession of marihuana, aggravated unlicensed operation in the 3rd degree, and speeding in a zone.

Troopers stopped Young on Route 77 in the Town of Darien for speeding.

While interviewing the driver, Troopers detected the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. Young was found to be driving on a suspended license and was also found to be in possession of marijuana and a controlled substance. Young was placed under arrest and arraigned in the town of Darien Court.

She posted $500.00 cash bail and is to return to the town of Darien Court in July 2018.

 

 

On June 27, 2018 at 12:53 A.M., Troopers out of Albion arrested Jeremiah M. Mitchell, 39, of Albion, NY,  for driving while intoxicated and unsafe turn/failure to signal.

Troopers stopped Mitchell on Route 98 in the Town of Carlton for failing to signal.

While speaking to Mitchell, the operator, Troopers detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage. Mitchell was placed under arrest after failing multiple field sobriety tests and was transported to State Police in Albion where he provided a breath sample of .16 BAC.

Mitchell was issued traffic tickets returnable to the Town of Carlton Court for July 2018.
